When choosing one or more photos for Throw Back Thursday, often I’ll try to find one that happened on that day or close to it years ago. For this week I found one that happened exactly on this day four years ago, July 13, 2013. That night was a special one for many reasons including the fact that Matt and I had a night out with our mutual friend Bree. As we did from time to time then, and do much more frequently now, we took a selfie, this one outside in the Santana Row parking structure.
I just love so much about that photo. Our smiles are so bright, the Matt has his sunglasses still on is so adorable and the wall behind is us even a Giants color, though he had no way of knowing the Giants would be such a big part of why it was an amazing night.
I don’t have any full length photos of me in the dress, which I wish I did in part as it would not fit me at this time. It was one of my favorite dresses which is why I selected it, and I did get a good product shot type photo of the dress before we went out on the town.
Though we spent a great evening eating, drinking, laughing talking and dancing at Rosie McCann’s with Bree, I don’t have a single photo of the three of us together. As I’ve mentioned often on this blog, one thing writing this has really driven home for me is how important taking photos of moments with friends and family truly is to be enjoyed later and stir memories. As a mom to be this is doubly important as there are so many memories to be captured forever.
I had remembered it was a great night for The San Francisco Giants yet was not sure exactly why. I looked up the score for clues.
At first Matt thought I had the wrong score when I told him last night, yet he soon realized that was when Tim Lincecum had pitched a No Hitter and we gleefully watched him throw out after our in beteeen dancing. With that we were able to recall even more great memories of the night.
This photo of us remains one of my favorites to this day, even being kept by me in black and white copy in a wooden frame. It was an amazing night, one that made so many memories for us all.

Your dress as pictured is just gorgeous, Danielle! Love the color scheme. It’s definitely something I would select to wear! Where did you purchase it? Just curious. My guess would be you found it at a Macy’s store? Iove their clothing selections.

I think from a thrift store actually. I bought it years ago so not entirely sure. I do love Macy’s, also.
