Today our baby is 38 weeks, the size of a leek.
This puts him or her at an estimated 6.8 lbs and 19 inches. While I don’t know how long s/he is, at my 36 week scan, Baby was an estimated 7 lb 10 oz, so my guess for birth weight is 8 lbs.
A main feature of this week is an improvement in grasping strength and reflex. This time next week our baby will be delivered and using that grip on us including possibly my hair, which is why I’m bringing lots of hair ties in my hospital bag.
