William is Seven Weeks

It’s so awesome seeing William grow and change in what seems like an instant. I’ve said that he often seems to have two states of being – sleepy or hungry, yet there are times when he is neither. As the article below states, he definitely has more alert times. I’ve used some of these to read to him and to tell him a bit about his family and things around him like our cat. We’ve caught him watching someone entering a room or leaving one and explained to him where they are going, such as to feed the cat.

He just looks so ready to learn in this photo when he was at peak learning and smiling as well.

Matt matched the San Francisco 49ers game with him. At several times it was obvious that he was in fact watching the game. While he was probably responding to either the colors, the motions on the screen or both, it was fun watching him trying to pay attention and soaking in what Matt had to say about the game.

Afterwards he fell asleep in Matt’s arms, he loves being cuddled so.

I just love watching him sleep and taking photos of him when he does. There’s lots of times when he’s sleeping yet still moving around quite a bit.

Every so often he will mimic motions from us. Tonight Matt was trying to get William to copy him when he put his hands in the air and he did it a few times. In the photo above while he was not trying to do a Vulcan Peace sign per se, he did get his fingers sort of going the right way. We look forward to teaching him both serious and silly things like that.
