William’s First Time Being Babysat Away From Home

As any parent knows, traveling with even just an infant involves allotting extra time to travel preparation and requires packing a lot more things. Matt made a special trip up to Pleasanton Friday night to drop off Christmas presents to be opened and William as Candy had offered to watching him to let us have a night to ourselves. Each bag Matt is holding is full of things for William.

At home I followed Candy’s suggestion to get in a rare early evening nap. First though,  I had to take photos with a card that properly documented our evening.

This was the first night I’d spent apart from William. I truly started missing him the second Matt wheeled him out the door in his stroller.

Candy of course knew I’d miss him so much, so she took a photo for me of her showing him her Christmas potholders which of course also featured Snoopy.

I had told Candy I wanted to FaceTime with William, as she had when he was here, however unfortunately he was sleeping when I asked.

In fact he sleep for several hours including the hour when I decided to go to bed.

Matt and I missed William greatly, though it was great to have some alone as well. This was great practice for when he starts full time daycare in two weeks.
