The description of what to expect this week is right on for William. He’s always been a baby who likes to grab out at and hold things, and he’s especially been holding his bottle when given the chance lately.
Sometimes it appears he’s a pro at handling his bottle, who doesn’t need any help at all doing so.
Other times, even at the same feeding, he will still let it start slipping from his mouth or hands or both, yet still want the feeding to continue.
When I have enough milk in my breasts to feed him, I much prefer to breast feed him. It feels more natural and I love the bonding between us. When I do have to feed him with a bottle, I love how he often will grasp my finger or lay his hand on mine. That makes me feel so close to him.
In the above photo he uses his right hand to drink, and his left to hold onto me. It’s hard to know which someone might consider his dominant hand (at the moment). Candy thinks he may grow up to be a lefty as she’s seen him suck his left thumb, and yet he seems to use both hands equally around me.
While we have many great active photos of him, we also have had so many great ones of him sleeping lately.
Maribel thinks he appeared to be deep in dream thought in this one.
She had tried to bring him to the library for the first time, yet the crowds, noise and movement seemed a bit too much for him. Next time, I will give her the noise cancelling headphones for infants Cora gave us.
As always no matter how much fun he had in day care care, William loves having his dad come to pick him up.
It’s really amazing how much he’s grown and changed in just this short amount of time.
