One of my favorite things to blog is William’s monthly photo shoots. As usual he did his own thing throughout, and I had fun capturing some attempts at posing. This month’s theme was toys for night time. The colors of the toys matched the card and his outfit so well. I had originally planned on a second outfit, and decided partway through to keep just the one.
William rarely gets to hold the sheep, we keep it attached to the outside of his travel crib. He seemed to enjoy the texture. As with last month he put his mouth on the card immediately.
Here he was so interested in the card that the lamb lost all his interest.
He moved around a lot during our session. This photo is hopelessly blurry, yet I love his expression and it’s the only one to show off the night light whale.
He looks sort of like he’s thinking “ta da!” here.
Then it was time to use the 5 months sticker.
He sort of seems to be saying, “hey get this tie off of me, it’s uncomfortable” in this one.
He really tried to put everything in his mouth including his blue teddy bear.
I love when he reaches out to me in photos. He probably was mentally done at about this point as well.
The second I gave him the card, he was back to munching on it.
I tried to get him to stop, but to no avail.
I got him to hold the card, yet he continued munching on it, for our last photo.
About an hour later I showed the first photos to Matt and said I wished there had been an actual smile this time. Matt agreed to help me try to get one.
Matt stood beside me and tried to get William to notice him instead of the props.
In a few minutes, he finally notice Matt and he was giving him some attention as well.
This lovely smile was one of the results of Matt’s help.
This is one of my favorite photos of the shoot even though there are no age markers in it.
Whereas William was trying to eat the W before, leading me to put it away, with Matt and I teaming up together, he didn’t even put it towards his mouth.
