Since William turned six months on Monday, it was time today for his six month well child and vaccination appointment. As I had to work, Matt took photos for me of the appointment. Instead of crying on the scale as he’s done in the past, William looks pretty calm and engaged for his weigh in. As we all suspected, he is now over 16 pounds.
It never fails to amaze me how Matt and I see and capture things so differently in photography. I only have three photos from his visit (I probably would have taken at least a dozen), yet they they really show the visit from a great photojournalistic style. The nurse with help from Matt measured William at 25 and a half inches long.
This detail shot is the type I’d never considered taking at the appointments, yet it’s a great one. I flipped it for ease of viewing for the blog.
William is doing great overall in terms of development and hitting milestones Dr. V agrees. Now that he’s had a chance to eat a few times, we are able to increase it to two small meals a day, and slowly start introducing new foods every three days or so. With his teeth coming in, we have to start him on multivitamins with fluoride.
I don’t have any photos of him from the part where he received his vaccinations, however, I hear he handled them well. He will see the doctor next in three months.
