All babies are different: some crawl sooner than others, and some don’t crawl ever – advancing straight to walking. We’ve been thinking a lot lately about crawling styles and which ones William uses and will use in the future. His Godmother, Kristi’s son, Tyler, did a commando type crawling first. William is more apt to try to push his body up with his limbs, sort of like he’s a water skipper spider.
Other times he seems content to sort of just stay in one spot on his tummy. I remember when he hated tummy time as a newborn, this is luckily no longer the case.
As he’s looking under his play mat, this almost looks like a sideways crawl attempt.
He’s definitely enjoying sitting up. He does so regularly every day.
Other times, it seems like he is trying to just push himself up to fully standing.
He also sort of stops with folding his leg underneath him in a folded back position. It’s amazing how flexible he is.
As he gets older he’s often able to sleep in other environments. I wasn’t sure if I’d have to grab coffee and food and go when we went to Starbucks, however, he surprised me and fell and stayed asleep.
I love so much when he reaches out his hand for mine.
It’s so amazing seeing him grow, change and learn week by week.
