Many times when I’ve been feeding William he will reach out for the spoon. Two days ago on Sunday, I decided to let him try holding the spoon himself, with supervision, to see how it would go.
William was definitely happy to have this opportunity to bring the spoon to his own mouth.
However, as would be expected, he got very little, if any, food into his own mouth with his attempt.
Yet, he still gamely tried a few more times to make it work.
After he had his fun, I cleaned him up a bit and continued feeding him. He will, of course, someday be feeding himself with a spoon, however, that day is probably quite far off.
