William is Thirty-Three Weeks

William is getting so alert and active. He loves to reach for thing, move about and twist and turn. While we have him on the changing table, he loves to move out of reach and turn over, while grabbing for anything in sight. While I’m too busy trying to change him, sometimes with Matt’s help, when this happens, this is definitely when we have to tell him no to squirming about so.

He’s also testing limits when he uses the furniture around our apartment to pull himself up. He loves being more mobile.

Sometimes he pulls himself up to standing, other times he just enjoys pulling himself up just a bit for a new perspective.

As he’s getting older he’s interested in things and toys that he was not previously. He originally hated the MamaRoo, and now he will enjoy it for small amounts of time.

Yet he prefers being cuddled in someone’s arms much more.

I love watching him with his toys. He can have hours of fun with the same toy. Mostly he reaches for them and puts things in his mouth.

The activity center, in which he sits directly in a chair and is surrounded by toys is another of his favorites. While he is usually very active in it, one day he was so tired he briefly fell asleep on the keyboard.

When he’s not sleeping, he’s very alert. He loves watching people with a steady gaze.

We love spending time with him and watching him grow more and more alert and active every day.
