Week 14 – The Size of a Lemon

Baby Perri is fourteen weeks today which puts him or her as the size of a lemon and puts me firmly in the second trimester according to sources that did not recognize last week as part of that milestone.

This week brings many new facial gestures for baby I including the ability to frown, squint and even grimace.

Additionally baby can start freely kicking and punching (and not just in repose to stimuli like Dr. G pressing on my belly to see a kick). Most sources say it’s far too early for me to feel this and yet I had the bubbling sensation the new mom of a three month old told me I’d feel during kicks.
