One of the most important and frequently given bits of advice to pregnant women is to drink lots of water. Many pregnant women aren’t used to drinking a lot of water, so it’s one of many adjustments to make. Company C provides many types of water and today I review Hint Water which comes in many flavors of which we get three, watermelon, blackberry and peach.
According to the estimates I’ve read from many sources I have to drink 64 oz. a day while pregnant, so taste is very important to me in order to motivate me to do so. I usually don’t like peaches, yet I tried the hint of peach, both as Company C randomly brings two flavors at a time and to give an accurate review. Ironically, of all the three flavors the peach was the most distinct fruit taste to me, and I was only able to finish it by reminding myself how important staying hydrated is for me at this time. Further online research shows some experts saying too much peach could cause bleeding in pregnant women, so I’m doubly glad to skip this flavor from now on.
Luckily, the two flavors we do get taste great to me, and as someone who likes both watermelon and blackberry by themselves this makes a lot of sense. The water is still the main taste, yet the fruit and natural flavors give it a nice sweet taste. The ingredients list is very reassuring and with their being 16 oz in each bottle, it’s easy for me to put four on my desk at the beginning of the day to remind myself to drink enough water each workday.
One big concern I had was whether the water bottles had BPA, a chemical used in many water bottles and something all pregnant women should avoid. I went on their website to ask about it, and being it was during their staffed hours was able to directly chat with a representative who assured me they were and always had been BPA free. The website also has information on other flavors I did not know they had including crisp apple, kiwi strawberry and lime, all of which I will eagerly try if they come to our office and caffeine kick and pineapple, both of which I would not due to my pregnancy.
The website lists lots of reasons why their water is great and who it is for including women who are pregnant or nursing. This also includes diabetics as there is no sugar in it, another great feature for women who are or are trying to be pregnant.
Even without added sugar, the waters (peach accepted due to my personal tastes) were wonderful and it makes it a lot easier for me to get in my daily water requirements. This, coupled with them being BPA free, and a responsive company in San Francisco, makes this product a winner in my book.
Rating – five baby booties out of five
I highly recommend a bottled water called Penta. The last time I purchased it (a pack) it was sold at the Vitamin Shoppe. It’s on the pricy side but well worth it. If interested, I would research it online to see where else it may be sold. Salute!

Thank you for the suggestion, Joiane, (and for the Sage Spoonfuls recommendation for our registry that we talked about on chat). Always great to hear from you in any manner and thanks for following along with my pregnancy journey and being part of my life.
