Yesterday Matt and I went to see Dr. G. As Candy was out of town, it was just us at the appointment. We were taken in early and while waiting for the doctor, Matt wanted to try to feel our baby moving around. S/he wasn’t moving at that time and was potentially sleeping.
Although in the past s/he has moved around to some artists, our baby stubbornly stayed still despite the mini concert Matt played for him or her.
This was our first appointment with Dr. G’s new nurse, Ana. She found it amusing that I took a picture of my blood pressure reading. While it was higher than what I get at home as is typical, it was a bit lower on top than last time. As I’d been rushing from work when a meeting ended later than expected, I’m happy it was at this level.
While asking questions about my pregnancy, I mentioned being 25 weeks as of that day. Dr. G said I was a few days off. Though one of my sonogram measurements did show that date, he said the first one he did on March 24th was likely to be the most accurate.
That made me 24 weeks and 4 days yesterday and will put me at exactly 25 weeks on Monday. I won’t be correcting any date references on the blog so far, however, I will use this updated information to note my due date as October 30th accordingly.
Dr. G measured my stomach area as he had did at the last visit. Matt took a few pictures for me on his phone.
He listened to baby’s heartbeat down low and up higher than he has before. Though we did not get a numerical value, it sounded strong and similar to the rhythm we’ve heard before.
We reviewed my pregnancy workout routine. I am now cleared to mix in using a stationary bike and rowing machine as well. He even commented that my workout routine, which I will blog about tomorrow, was more than most pregnant women do.
