My baby shower was yesterday and I had a wonderful time. There are so many people who made it a great day from Candy planning it with Katki, Rachel taking photos, Katie putting many of our items in her van and making a special trip to get them to us and the guests who attended and people who have gifts though unable to attend. I’ll do a full recap at another time when I have photos back from Rachel, so this will be a preview of detail shots I took with my phone. Using baby’s technical due date of October 30th, I have 8 weeks to go as shown in this sign and sonogram pics, the middentwo of which we used copies of in our maternity shoot with Rachel last month.
Candy always has a themed hanging flag and the shower was the theme of this one and there was a beat with baby shower umbrella and baby shower signs as well.
Many guests along with some people who couid not attend had had their gifts sent ahead of time so the living room had many presents before the first guest arrived.
These were set up for people to guess our baby’s gender, and boy was the favorite with a 4:1 ratio guess wise.
These amazing gift bags were created for our guests.
Each bag had contents similar to this (though some bags had small wine bottles for those who drink).
Since I don’t know our baby’s gender I’m Team Green or in some circles Team Yellow, A theme that was reflected in the bag.
As Katki and Candy wanted a lot of my shower to be a surprise most was planned without my input. I did get to suggest the game of having guests decorate onesies with one winning one receiving a prize, the results were great.
It was a fun day for all with great moments I will treasure forever. I look forward to presenting a recap when the photos are ready to share.
