Yesterday was the first day of my pregnancy disability, which has given me time to go to my many appointments required for my last weeks of pregnancy. The first of these was with my Dietician. At the beginning of the meeting she told me that this was our last meeting.
As such, I was given this instruction sheet for managing my Gestational Diabetes up to the birth. After the birth I will test my fasting blood sugars once a week till month three, at which time I’ll take a blood test to determine if it has gone away. The Dietician said even inher patients who take insulin, it’s very rare for it to continue though I will be ata higher risk for developing Type II diabetes in the future.
A few weeks ago I was very frustrated with the unusually high number of errors I’d had with my Glucose meter strips. I called to complain and suggested they send me 150 which would last me over a month. The representative said all she could do was send 50, and two boxes showed up a few days later.
I was happy to see they were from the same lot number which should make one box as accurate as the other.
Though the box appeared a little diffenet from my regularly purchased box, the new strips on the right appear identical to the older ones.
