What Santa Wants For Christmas – Book Review

When Candy, Matt and I took William to see Santa, I knew I’d want something special to display his photo in. I looked at several frames and even a snow globe before finding something even more unique and special. What Santa Wants For Christmas is a soft book for adults to share with their child(ren) with a great way to personalize it for their visit with Santa.

The cover sets the tone for this fun and whimsical book.

A parent can write in the name of their child to dedicate the book to them. The book features rhymes and bright and colorful illustrations.

The story continues with the focus equally on Santa and the child, so s/he will truly feel that that they are part of the story.

I really love this page with the reindeer, sleigh and snow. As we live in San Jose snow is something we do not have here for Christmas.

The photos depict a great Christmas scene on all pages. As there are no pictures of children in it, the child being addressed could be either gender and of one or more races. It truly is inclusive of anyone for this.

The last page has a space for a photo. This truly makes the book a delight to be shared with a child.

I decided to use our family photo instead of the one on one pic we have of William and Santa. I’m so glad we have this wonderful book and photo to remember our visit with Santa. I’ve read it once to William and will do so again and again this and future Christmas seasons.
