Last year was the first year Matt and I celebrated Christmas as husband and wife. It was also the year we added many new ornaments to the tree, several of which had to do with celebrating our first married Christmas. This ornament was so pretty having a beautiful intricate design on each face.
This portrait of us on the beach is one of my favorites from our wedding. It is still the screen saver for my phone. Not only did I love it, but Shauna, who was one of my bridesmaids used it as the main side of the ornament she designed for us as a Christmas present as well.
In addition to our wedding ornaments, I had a few WWE wrestling ones made for us as well. Sting, The Undertaker and Stone Cold Austin all graced our tree for the first time.
My childhood friend, Debbie, tagged Matt and I both on Facebook with the idea to have a custom pillowcase made up to mark the occasion. I loved the idea, and messaged her to quickly untag Matt so he would be surprised by this. It came out great.
One tradition is in progress. Several years ago Candy gave everyone as a Christmas present decoration a silver glittered first initial. Ours has hung on our tree every year since.
Candy made sure to get a W for us this year that will be on one of William’s presents and from next year on will hang next to our letters on the tree.
