When going places, I have to work backwards to figure out how much time I’ll need to get there on time with William. I can’t predict if he’ll be fussy or need a diaper change or something else from home, so I try to blanket in some extra time. Today took a bit longer to get out of the house, yet traffic was surprisingly light, so in the end I had plenty of time to get William to the church nursery and be on time for service.
The nursery teachers love that he brings a lot of fun toys with him.
As usual William was the first child to arrive. Sometimes he is the only one there, giving him a 2:1 ratio of providers.
I love how William is being given the chance to use more than one toy at a time.
One thing I did not expect was for Johanna to tell me that it was time to adjust the car seat based on William’s height. It was time to move it up to the next position.
She expertly maneuvered them even though I didn’t have the instructions with me.
In almost no time flat, she had it ready to go for him.
I was delighted to see that a little boy named Jaxon was getting baptized during the service.
Pastor Mariellen commented on how adorable it was that he was playing in the baptismal water.
He was joined onstage by his large family and the church youth ministry leader as his mom had been involved with that ministry.
After the service members were invite to join a mini celebration complete with cake.
It was great seeing another child baptized into our church.
