One of the most fun parts of being a parent is trying out new toys with William. Some toys are complicated and may require trying them several times and even some parental help to learn to use, and others are much more simple. The Baby Newspaper is an example of a simple toy, one that we received as part of his Bluum box subscription.
The toy is made to resemble a real newspaper with articles on it. The articles are about baby and parent related topics which makes for interesting reading. They can even be read to the baby like a book page.
The toy has a catalog type feature in that other toys that the manufacturer, Brain Builders makes. While it is a little heavy handed to have both sides have this, I can see where parents may find this valuable information.
The toy makes a crinkling sound when touched. William liked the sounds it made and the feel in his hands.
Though he hasn’t realized it yet, it can be crumpled up a lot, even into a ball shape and bounce back into its original form.
He does crumple it somewhat and likes to put part of it in his mouth to investigate further.
This is the kind of toy that he will like even more in the next few months as his finger grip gets stronger so he can crumple it up more. This toy helps babies stay entertained for a long time.
