Week Eleven of Development

Our baby is now in week eleven of development. This correlates to the size of a fig, or as they are not quite in season, the size of a date. We wore our San Francisco Giants jerseys in honor of the opening day for our team at home, which I’ll write about later this week.

For size comparison to the fig, I used my hand with Giants inspired silicone ring and strawberry birthmark.

Our baby’s webbing disappears this week as distinct fingers and toes can be seen. S/he will be able to make a fist, meanwhile tooth buds form and some bones begin their hardening process. S/he is now moving and kicking more as well, though I am months away from feeling these motions.

If the baby is a girl, ovaries will begin developing this week at well.
