This year Matt and I joined Candy for the fifth year in a row for our annual tradition of watching the San Jose Giants on their 4th of July Home game and then watching the fireworks over the stadium. Though I’ve been to the stadium many times this was the first time I saw these logos on the surrounding fence walls, so I made sure we got a photo with them.
We all love this holiday so and in Candy and my case, we enjoy dressing up in the red white and blue colors. I wore clip ins from TeamCrush Boutique who I reviewed for the orange and black clip ons I have for Giants games. Candy and I wore matching “I love USA” necklaces. She wore her Peanuts inspired Giants shirt. For the first time ever, my Giants jerseys don’t button over my bump, so Matt lent me his.
The stadius full of history including banners of current San Francisco Giants who were once San Jose Giants.
A statue of Gigante welcomed us to the park along with holiday themed balloons.
Inside these panels show the names of players who were called up to the SF Giants. This is always a favorite spot of mine to see.
As is this sign as Willie Mays is a favorite player of so many baseball fans, myself included.
I just love watching Matt and Candy at the game and how every moment they are.
We truly had an amazing view for the game.
A young family was next to us. To my delight the dad had a Tactical Baby Diaper Bag on it, one of the ones I’ve researched and put on our registry as it would work well for Matt or for me. The dad told me that even though his daughter was now five, he still uses it to transport family things.
As usual we had to take a selfie at the game.
For the first time ever that I’ve seen, they chose adults to race Gigante. Also for the first time, he won.
The Giants were down so Matt reversed our hats to be rally hats.
Unfortunately, the still lost the game.
The fans were given a chance to toss tennis balls on the field for a chance to win prizes.
Then my favorite part, the fireworks started. It was the longest and best show I’ve seen at this event. The moon was positioned perfectly and really helped show them off.
A great time was had by all. I’m so thrilled the next time we go back to this, we will have our baby with us.

Great looking fireworks. One of my favorite things that make the 4th of July so wonderful are the professionally done fireworks. Must have been so awesome to see in that type of setting! I am not a sports fan but I do remember fondly the first time I went to the new stadium. I remember being so impressed by the wide variety of food vendors! Hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, yummy! Glad you enjoyed your night. I stayed up to watch the SyFy Channel’s 4th of July “Twilight Zone” marathon. That’s my other favorite thing for the holiday. Been watching it since 2002 for the 4th of July. By the way, I can definitely now see your baby bump! 3 more months to go, right? Felt any kicking yet?

Yes, I’ve felt tickles, taps and light kicks and Matt felt thumps for the first time, yesterday.
