TeamCrush Boutique’s Clip in Colored Extensions – Product Review

For some time now I’ve enjoyed experimenting with putting different colors in my hair. At first I was using hair chalk to do so, yet it was really messy and tended to get all over surfaces during application and my clothes that I wore. So, taking the advice of a professional hairdresser friend, I switched to hair extensions. I found almost every color I could imagine and yet, I still wanted more variety. To my amazement and delight, I found a shop on Etsy that had clips on in two and even three colors. TeamCrush Boutique, a shop run by Jessia, features clips on in many color combinations including these which I ordered:

As the name suggests, many of the products in the store are the colors of professional sports teams, in particular NFL teams. The one above was for the Cincinnati Bengals. While the colors for the Bengals were not exactly that of the San Francisco Giants, I knew they would be close enough to wear for Orange Friday. The colors are so bright and beautiful.

Since the dress code at Company C is casual, I went all out for Orange Friday last week. The colors were almost an exact match to the Giants jersey I wore.

The extension clips are a very generous 18 inches, far longer than my natural hair. They are a bit uneven in these pics, however, that was through my own cutting mistake, they are perfectly matched up when sent and packaged securely in their own plastic package as shown in my first picture.

As football teams tend to have bold and distinctive color combinations, there are is a large variety in the shop.  Coincidentally often the colors that one football team uses would be similar to that of another sports team as is the case with the Bengals and Giants. Some of my favorite combinations were those for the 49ers, Packers, Chargers, Vikings and Lions which all look especially beautiful.

In addition to the NFL Teams, the shop has some fun fantasy concepts including this Fourth of July set which I’ll be wearing soon and showing off on this blog.

My favorite part of the shop is that there is the option to do a custom set of up to three colors. I put in a custom order for a photo shoot and they came out perfect. I’ll be showing them and the shoot on a later blog entry.

Jessia not only is a talented artist, she is an great at customer service. Not only was she very helpful with my custom order, she also was very responsive when my first package from her went missing (an event that has happened a few times in our apartment complex). The package eventually turned up, and while I may never find out why it two almost two and a half weeks to go from Nevada to California (per her clear postmark) the order was worth the wait, and best of all my second order came in just a few days.

For quality of product and amazing customer service, this is rated five baby booties out of five.
