Since we were unable to see them for Valentine’s Day, Matt and I were thrilled to be able to schedule and see William’s Godmother, Kristi, and Tyler, one of his Godbrothers for a visit in their beautiful home.
As happens pretty much everywhere we go with him, William was able to bring ready smiles from others as he enjoyed the company he was in.
While there William’s Godfather, Gary, happened to use the Drop In feature of the Amazon Echo Show, so he could chat with us and vice versa. The really amazing part of this was that he was on a boat at the time, and was still able to get the necessary reception to do this.
Matt brought William right over to the screen so he could have a chat with his Godfather directly.
Even though William could only babble as his part of the conversation, it clearly was a meaningful one to him and his Godfather alike.
Gary’s smile was so big having this chance to interact with his Godson one on one.
Kristi, who was wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt, gave William a present, his very first Mickey Mouse toy.
Tyler was offered the chance to hold William, but he declined. However, he was happy to play with him as his mom held him.
Kristi loves putting William up in the air to play and let him get a new perspective.
Tyler is an accomplished guitar player, so we had requested in advance that he play a few songs for William.
Among the songs he plays is “Hotel California” which he taught himself.
As he played Kristi danced with William.
We all sang along softly during the song.
William was just mesmerized and looked at Tyler with interest as he reached out an arm to him.
All too soon it was time to pack up and go home. William enjoyed napping with his new Mickey right away.
It was so great to see part of his Godfamily. We look forward to hanging with them again as well as other members of his Godfamily as their schedule permits.
