Cloud B On The Go Sleep Sheep Sound Soother – Product Review

One of the coolest parts of my pregnancy was our multiple trips to see what toys and things we’d need for our child. It was fun to try and anticipate what we would need or want along with what things were cool but we, or our child, wouldn’t truly use. Some I did extensive research on, some were recommended by store representatives, and occasionally, I’d have a gut feeling that I just needed something in particular. One such project I was sure we needed was the Cloud B On The Go Sleep Sheep Sound Soother.

The Soother is the smaller version of a larger one that plays 8 sounds. This one is more compact and has the loop to be put around travel cribs, or hung in close proximity to the baby to help him or her get a good night sleep. As it’s portable the control panel pops out easily to have batteries put in, or to let it just be a soft toy. In our case, while putting items away we had received from my baby shower the controls became separated and misplaced at first, but we soon found them and put them in the toy.

The controller on the back allows the toy to play the sounds: stream, rain, ocean and whale. Of those the rain is William’s favorite and coincidentally the one Matt likes as well for his white noise.

Of the sounds the whale one is actually sort of strange and frightening. I make sure to never use that setting. I realize all babies are different, so perhaps some babies do like that to sleep.

There are two time functions, one for 23 minutes and one for 45 minutes. The toy is unable to play sounds longer than that, which saves batteries, yet I still wish that function was available. That said, we haven’t had to change batteries, and we’d been using this toy almost every night.

Rating – four baby booties out of five
