William has lots of adorable baby clothes. Several months ago we bought some outfits that resemble the Tommy Bahama shirts Matt enjoys wearing. They were too big for William at the time, so I looked forward to him growing into them so I could use them for a beachy, relaxed feel monthly photo shoot. At first, William didn’t seem in the mood for a shoot with that kind of feel.
Luckily, William is a happy baby for the most part. So, with Matt smiling and talking to him, he soon got into a happy mood that befit his fun clothes.
The block he is holding is part of a sensory toy pack for babies 6 months and older that I will be reviewing in an upcoming blog post.
As always, the props for the shoot soon found their way into his mouth. This one is an especially adorable shot of this.
I really wish I knew what he was thinking in this one. I think he was getting cranky overall and wanted me to finish up the shoot as soon as I could.
Matt talked softly to him and soon he was back into a good mood to take a few more pics with this outfit on.
He’s been blowing bubbles/making B sounds again and I love that this got captured for this session.
William has several beachy shirts, so I hurried to change him into another one. It was soon apparent that I was going to get a more relaxed feel, in fact he feel asleep completely.
Perhaps the shoot tired him out, or perhaps he just wanted a nap. It was obvious he wanted to sleep, so I worked with that and used a sticker to compete this photo.
Even in his sleep, William happened to give me another pose as he turned over.
I set up his 6 month card and knew the second I took this, that it was the right photo to end his shoot on.
While this shoot wasn’t what I had originally envisioned, a multi outfit (both top and bottom) shoot with Matt also wearing his beachy shirts, it became a great documentary look at a typical day in his life. I’m very happy with how these came out.
