It’s amazing how the time has flown since Matt and I attended our upstairs neighbors’ baby shower. I happened to see Yuka outside while we were both returning from errands. She asked if she could see William, so of course I invited her over.
Yuka had lots of questions for me as she is just a few weeks away from delivering her son. She asked me to look at a list of what to pack in her hospital bag. I was happy to let her know that her list looked great and also made a few suggestions.
Yuka said she never hears any sounds from our apartment – laughing, crying, squealing. It was fun for her to get to see a bit of his personality up close.
William definitely found her entertaining as well. While he still did his routine of looking around a lot so as not to miss things, he looked at her and interacted with her a lot.
With another young child so close by, perhaps we will be having play dates with our sons in the not too distant future.
