Candy has told me numerous times the story of how Matt as a baby grabbed the leg of a table and successfully pulled himself up to standing. This is probably how William will do it as well. So when I saw William seeming to want to try to replicate this, I called for Matt as he was in another room to come see.
I really thought he was going to do it. He was both determined and having fun, great states of mind to learn something new in. I was ready with my iPhone to get the photo of him standing with a little help.
Matt and I were ready to see this moment happen. However, perhaps due to his age, lack of strength in his legs, just not being ready or something else, instead of pulling himself up, he instead sat back down. Still, it was great waiting to see if it was going to happen. William sees people walk often, including kids not much older than himself in daycare, I know he is eager to stand and walk someday.
