Ever since I put a date tracker on my phone, I’ve been looking forward to this day. William is exactly 100 days away from his first birthday. Though I have many, many photos of him, I used this one, of him looking at Candy at only a few weeks old with a look of intelligence and perhaps a little contemplation in his eyes.
I’ve watched, recorded and learned so much in the last 265 days. It’s been amazing seeing him go from being a baby who had no mobility to a fast crawler, in addition to watching him be able to communicate more and watching his personality form and shine through. He loves people and is a huge fan of his “fur sister”, Inky.
It cracks me up how Inky sometimes avoids him, and other times comes over right away for attention. We are still teaching them how to interact nicely together, which for William means overcoming his desire to kick out or grab when excited.
William has brought so much joy to the lives of Matt, Candy, Inky and others. I cannot believe he will hit his first milestone birthday in such a short time.
