I’m always taking photos of my son, so much so that I have more photos of him with others and alone, then I do of him with me. So it’s a treat when I get some. This morning Maribel was taking some of him and I got into a few. I love this photo which she sent to Matt and I. He resent it to me with the text that he looks just like me in this one.
Even though these are pretty blurry (low lighting is hard for a cell phone to capture), I agree he shows a lot of features from me. Even our hair looks a similar color here, though the lighting is bringing out highlights he has naturally, and my hair is the result of a strawberry blonde application.
His eyes are blue like mine, yet without the green ring or flecks I inherited from my mom’s coloring. They probably resemble my dad’s the most. His nose looks like mine a lot as well.
I love his starting smile, even without showing teeth he looks happy. He really enjoys going to daycare a lot, even if he will never, ever enjoy how early I have to wake him to get him there.
