While in Pleasanton one thing I also had to get done was an at home sleep study. This study had to measure sleep over at least a four hour period. I had been instructed to recreate a night as similar to my daily routine as I could, so that meant I would be waking up and getting out of bed to breastfeed William on demand.

Pleasanton Visit Highlights
In addition to the Thanksgiving meal, Candy and William enjoyed lots of bonding moments during his visit. Candy has always been a huge fan of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year we did not watch it on the day, instead watching a prerecorded version on the next day. Candy made sure to go right up to the screen with William to show him Santa Claus.
William’s First Thanksgiving
William’s First Thanksgiving was spent in Pleasanton so he could visit with Candy. She had the table ready the night before and took him around it telling him all about the plates and decorations. It looks like something out of a home style magazine.
Our First Thanksgiving as Mr. and Mrs. – Throw Back Thursday (TBT)
A year ago Matt and I had our first thanksgiving as a married couple in our apartment. Our Third Lactation Consultant Visit
I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a Lactation Consultant Appointment the day before Thanksgiving. As usual William cried during his prefeeding weigh in.
One Month Pediatrician Visit
William’s last weekly well child visit was this one, his one month check. As previous appointments had, this one started with measurements to chart his growth process.

Breastfeeding Boosting Methods
When I was pregnant I’d had sometimes have colostrum leak from my nipples and wake up with the telltale yellow crust on them. I’d taken that as a sign that I’d be one of the majority of women who could breastfeed and even thought I’d be an oversupplier of milk. I’d been right on the first assumption, yet unforunately wrong on the second.
William’s First Visit with Santa
With two parents who love to take photos, William’s first visit to see Santa was an occasion to be dreamed of and planned well in advance. I learned the local Santa was part of a system where an appointment could be booked in advance, so we booked him an afternoon time for yesterday. I love this grumpy little expression on his face when Candy, Matt and I first set out.
Batman Teething Pendant – Product Review
I’ve loved the idea of a teething necklace with breakaway clasp that I could wear while nursing, especially since I received one long ago from Bluum. Still I rarely wore that one for two reasons: it was incedibly long on me, and, as neither they nor I knew my baby’s gender upon sending it had mainly pink beads and I wanted something a bit more gender neutral perhaps even masculine as William is a boy. I was excited to see the Bumkins Batman Teething Pendant for sale on Amazon.
