Week 10 – Baby is the Size of a Kumquat 

Each Monday along with it being the start of my work week, it’s a new week start for our baby. Today I am ten weeks, so my baby is the size of a kumquat, a fruit that until this weekend I’ve never purchased or eaten. For size comparison I placed my engraved key necklace with “Fearless” on it above the kumquat.

Faith in Action – My Church Community and Volunteering

Since the end of January I have been attending a new church, Almaden Hills United Methodist Church. It’s been amazing at attending a church with a strong active faith demonstrated both in terms of community building and volunteerism.

This morning’s service included the hymn “Lord of the Dance” and the pastor had many members pulled into dancing around the church. I was one of those selected and took a few pics as well of which this was my favorite.

Attending a Friend’s Baby Shower Before My Pregnancy Announcment 

This year Matt and I were delighted to hear our friends The Barrs were expecting. Matt grew up with the mother to be’s husband, living on his street. We’d attended their wedding and they attended ours years later with the wife singing a song at our reception. This was the first baby shower of the year for me with a twist, the first one I was attending while pregnant myself.
