One of the biggest concerns I have as a mother to be is making sure baby has only the best and most natural things getting to him or her for me. An area of concern was beauty products and so I decided to set aside my normal shampoo and conditioner, which work great but have artificial colors and scents and are not organic and try a new brand. Today’s review is of Maui Moisture Coconut Milk and Shampoo Conditioner, which I picked up at my local grocery store.
As a very visual person the beautiful blue bottle and name that reminded me of our honeymoon caught my attention right away. I was intrigued by the all natural and vegan ingredients.
The instructions for use are similar but do not include the helpful addition of how much to use, so I had to play it by ear. The first two times I used the shampoo and conditioner like I would use regular shampoo and conditioner. The third time when rereading to try to find out exactly how much conditioner to use, I realized it was supposed to be left in for 5 minutes then rinsed – oops.
The shampoo and conditioner work great and the conditioner worked even better when I followed the directions fully. My hair has been very manageable – both easier to brush and even easy to style with just my fingers as I did for this quick photo after having my hair windblown.
I do wish the bottles would outline just how much of each to use, so the product would last me longer, and explain a bit more about what some of the ingredients with more scientific names do as they have a warning about washing either out of eyes immediately, but these are only a small part of the total product experience.
They are found in most supermarkets, many retail stores and on Amazon.
Rating – four and a half baby booties out of five
