Our First Wedding Anniversary and Pregnancy Reveal Photoshoot

Today is a special day for a few reasons. One reason is that it is my one year anniversary with my husband and best friend, Matt. Another is that it is the day we chose to do our pregnancy reveal on Facebook, so many people heard our good news for the first time. Finally, in addition to revealing my pregnancy we also shared the existence of this blog with the world at large. To my new readers including those who may have come here from Facebook to see other photos from our shoot, welcome, and thanks for joining me.

Our photos were taken in a park part of the Sports Park group in Pleasanton. We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny day with a nice even temperature for our photo session.

Matt chose the first photo on the post for our general announcement as we loved the simplicity of it, and how it includes so much information with props from our team, The San Francisco Giants, while having showing us in the background blurred with a shallow depth of field.

This next photo includes just a small part of each of us, while showing size differences between us and how tiny baby will be that his or her feet will fit in these little shoes.

One of my favorite props we used that baby will be able to wear is his or her first jersey. I made sure to order this is 6-9 months so baby can wear it on home opening day for our team. We’d love to get tickets to that game so baby’s first game will be extra special.

I love how bright our smiles are in this dugout shot. We are literally overflowing with happiness at the thought of our new teammate to join the Perri lineup.

This is one of my favorite shots with no props, just us in our Giants outfits. Though this and other shots were directed by our photographer, this one has a very natural feel to it, and just feels like how we might interact in a private moment.

While we used the baseballs showing the month and year of our child’s expected birth on it, the other side said Baby Perri, and the placement of the balls and my shirt makes this one of my favorite overall photos.

In addition to our love of the Giants we are also huge WWE fans. In this prop heavy photo, we wore John Cena and Nikki Bella shirts, and used a marquee board and Championship Belts including one for baby to introduce our future champion.

Using The Champ is Here sign  (an expression of John Cena) that I used when we attended Payback a few weekends ago, along with baby’s belt, I love this photo for Matt’s quiet smile and how much we are getting into the silly and fun  moment.

Lastly, we wore our first completely matching shirts of the shoot, that of The Viper, Randy Orton and his RKO Out of Nowhere phrase. Though I didn’t put our ages, 44 for e and 39 for him on them, this shot celebrates this being our first child.

This is my favorite smiles from our session. While the ultrasounds are technically upside down in the shot, it looks so full of joy that it’s still one of my favorite images from the day.

I’m so happy we have these amazing images to commemorate my pregnancy. I look forward to showing them to our son or daughter someday.
