William Met His Godparents and One Godbrother

On Sunday, William’s Godparents, Gary and Kristi, along with Kristi’s son, Tyler, came over to meet him for the first time. They were especially excited to meet and hold the baby they had seen so many photos of online.

Kristi has a lot of fun getting William to smile. She was able to get him to copy her smile and he liked her singing to him especially “The Lullaby of Broadway” which she sang to Tyler as a young boy.

William definitely liked being the center of their attention. Perhaps it’s no surprise that they stayed longer than expected as it’s hard to keep track of time when a baby is cooing and smiling at you.

William loves stretching, and so we get fun pictures of him in unusual poses like this from time to time.

He has definitely developed a stronger grip over the last few weeks. Kristi was enthralled how he would grasp her finger and not let go.

William’s baseball onesie was a real hit with them. They are big sports fans as we are, in fact the 49ers onesies they had given him will be featured in his three month photo shoot.

Tyler took this great portrait of the five of us.

We had a champagne toast to William meeting part of his Godfamily. His Godfamily will also include Gary’s son’s Nicholas and Jack who live in Southern California.

William appeared to be full of energy for a while. Gary enjoyed talking to him and having William answer back as best as he could.

Yet soon after, Kristi was able to rock him to sleep in her arms.

Gary held him in his arms one last time before they had to leave. William did not even wake up during the transfer from Kristi to Gary and from Gary to me.

It’s always hard when visits with friends have to end. We look forward to more visits in the near future and William’s christening later this month.
