Lunch with Shauna

It’s tough sometimes getting schedules together. I hadn’t seen Shauna since the week of William’s birth even though we had discussed getting together often. Finally, both our schedules opened up so that we could meet, with William in tow.

Shauna and I have many things in common including both liking Louisiana style Cajun food, in fact her husband is from that area, so she really knows it well. We met at a place that makes po’ boys which I had gone to years ago. Shauna wanted to hold William while we waited to see if they had high chairs.

It turns out they did, however, the ones they had were too big for him. Luckily, Shauna enjoyed holding William almost as much as he enjoyed being held.

Of course, being William, that didn’t mean he was content to sit down or not be animated.

So, we ended up having to have the stroller on my side of the table, and he was able to eat his lunch while we awaited ours.

I had a great time catching up with Shauna and having her interact with William. He’s definitely a lot more full of energy and personality then when she first met him.
