Starting Our Baby Registry

With my mom in town for Mother’s Day weekend, Matt and I had planned for today to for today to be the day we started adding to our baby registries in earnest. Candy, my mom, Iona, and I started our day at J. Lohr Winery in San Jose so they could wine taste.

This was my mom’s first trip to J. Lohr in about 20 years. Both moms opted for red wine while I drank water.

After tasting it was time to pick up Matt for our registry appointment at Buy Buy Baby.  It was great seeing my name on the board. With my appointed we were given an associate, Joyce, to walk the store with us for an hour and give us suggestions.

Joyce decided Matt would be the official scanner for our appointment.

Our first stop was strollers. The store has dozens, and we fell in love with the first one we were shown which featured metal wheels, which were great for terrains including trails and sand and several peek-a-boo windows for baby even with the shade top den.

With Joyce’s help we navigated the entire store finding many items to round out our registry, a mixture of items for day and night, at home and while traveling and in a variety or prices. We had to make sure to get a picture with Joyce who it turned out spent over two hours with us.

For registering with Buy Buy Baby, we were given a gift bag with samples and coupons.

We had a great and productive day and made some great memories as well.
