As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, I really love the variety of books I’ve found at my church’s book swap table. The book “the Magic of Children – Beautiful Writings About the Wonderful World of Children” immediately caught my attention.

William is Sixteen Weeks – Four Months
The description of what to expect this week is right on for William. He’s always been a baby who likes to grab out at and hold things, and he’s especially been holding his bottle when given the chance lately.
Scouts Day at Church and Scouting Changes
It took me a bit longer to get William settled down so we could go to church today. I had debated bringing him into service with me, but as he’d been crying so hard on and off from teething pain (even after trying Infant Tylenol and teething toys), so I put him into the church nursery. As a result, I missed the opening candle lighting by a Girl Scout. The special service featured local Cub and Boy Scouts including Tim, who leads a Boy Scout pack and his son, Riley, a Boy Scout.

San Jose Beer Walk and Clandestine Brewery Opening
Every once in a while I’ll go and enjoy something in real time more than I’ll take lots of photos to remember it. This weekend Matt and I joined by our friends Steve and Cora attended two events this weekend in which I did just that, in fact, most of the photos for this entry were taken after the event. The first event we went to was the Downtown San Jose Beer Walk as part of the SJ Beer Week 2018.

Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes – Product Review
The Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes is a product I’ve meant to review for a long time. It was a gift from Katie for my shower, one of the items on my registry. Both my aunt and cousin had recommended Baby Einstein products as wonderful ones to have for a growing baby.

Roman Reigns and Monday Night RAWs – Throw Back Thursday
Three years ago Matt and I saw Wrestlemania in San Jose. We had attended the Monday Night RAW the following night and they had announced another RAW show in August. When it was finally our time to get seats after waiting in the long line, I joked we’d be in the last row. Matt was more optimistic, in fact he was pretty confident Roman Reigns would enter right near our section. It turns out he was right.

We had an amazing time at the show. The lineup featured a tribute to Rowdy Roddy Piper who had just passed on, and some other fantastic moments including having Seth trash talk his rival and the whole audience using their cell phones to be the “firefly” effect for the Wyatt Family’s promo that I put in a collage.

Matt and I had proudly wore our Suplex City San Jose Shirts to that first RAW. Unfortunately, that was the shirt of Roman Reign’s main rival. While we both cheered on many wrestlers, Roman was the only one Matt mentioned in our wedding vows, that he would cheer on Roman with me.

So as a major fan, when we went to RAW another time, I made sure to wear Roman’s shirt and stickers on my face, in case he came down our section a second time, which he did.

Our friends were amazed we were two for two with this. Matt had even joked he should buy a Powerball Ticket, but neither of us has.
On Monday RAW will again come to the SAP Center. With a new job for me that I can’t leave early from and William, there is no way for us to attend. Still, I look forward to bringing him to wrestling events in a few years when he can appreciate them.

The Cosleeping Debate
With the exception of the one night before Christmas Eve, when Candy took William up with her to give Matt and I a night to sleep without distractions, William has always slept in the same room as me. He’s slept in his bassinet and in a portable crib. I’ve nursed him on our bed,yet never let him be bundled up onto our bed. One night I’d finished nursing William when Matt suggested we let him get under the covers for just a few moments.
Oh, Baby, the Places You’ll Go! A Book to Be Read in Utero – Book Review
As a child one of my favorite books was Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, I even remember enjoying it so much as a young adult when it was read in part at a graduation ceremony I attended. So I was excited to get Oh, Baby, the Places You’ll Go! A Book to Be Read in Utero as a baby shower book.

William is 15 Weeks Old
As time goes on William amazes use every week with how big he’s getting and how very animated as well. This week’s description definitely sounds like him especially in temperament.
Super Bowl 52 Party
For many years I’d watched the Super Bowl at some sort of party. Matt and I had gone to a few together, and had even thrown a few. This year we decided to try something different, using the money we would spend on a party to go to a party at a restaurant right outside the 49ers Stadium. At first, we were planning on bringing William. I was told I could, however, as we got closer to the day, we agreed it would be too loud and chaotic for him, so he stayed home with Candy to watch the game and cheer on his temporary favorite team, The Philadelphia Eagles. I love how he even looks like a football player all bulked up with shoulder pads for this one.
