Yesterday I attended a breast feeding instruction and support class at the hospital where our baby will be born. Though I’ve read books and joined nursing forums and spoke to moms who successfully breastfed, I greatly looked forward to this three hour class taught by a lactation and feeding expert. The class was full of great information including this baby feeding hold many moms who have undergone a Caeasarean section find comfortable.

My Last Non Stress Test (NST) with Dr. G
On Friday I went to my second NonStress Test. I was glad we were able to get in on this day at his last appointment slot. I tried hard to get it as we knew it would be the last one we would see Dr. G at for a while as he will be taking off some time for about a month.
Crafts for All – 12 Fabric Markers – Product Review
One of the activities I was eagerly looking forward to at my shower was having guests decorate onesies for our baby. I had imagined this possibly with paint, however, Katki and Candy found a much neater alternative, Crafts 4 All’s Fabric Markers.

Our First Apartment Together – Throw Back Thursday
Four years ago as of yesterday, Matt and I moved in together to a one bedroom apartment in San Jose. Then, as is true now, our work schedules differed, so some of the tasks such as choosing the color for our accent walls, fell to him as he was there at a time when I was still working. We had debated a set called the blues and a red orange set whose name I cannot recall and he ended up choosing the latter which sort of looks like SF Giants orange in some photos and more red in others. Here’s Matt on our move in day with our dining room table which we still have and use.

Hospital Bagging Packing In Progress
Some moms to be have their going to the hospital bags packed at the start of their third trimester, whereas others seem to be leaving it till one of the last things to do before they expect to give birth. I’ve had a plan in place of when I’d start in general, and I promised Matt and myself I’d start after our baby shower. This was in part as some of the things I thought I’d need could be things I’d get at my baby shower. I’ll technically be bringing a bag inside a bag, the main bag being a rolling suitcase that was a wedding present and inside this Tactical Baby Gear bag (with matching changing pad) that was a shower present.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar – Book Review
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of many great books I received at my baby shower. Matt told me it was one of his favorite books as a child, so I decided it would be a great book to start off my post shower book reviews.

Week 33 – Baby the Size of Celery
Our baby is 33 weeks as of today, putting him or her at an estimated 17 inches and just under 4 pounds. This is comparable to the size of a pineapple or alternatively the size of celery, a favorite of mine as a Gestational Diabetes approved snack with peanut butter.
My Baby Shower Preview – It’s All in the Details
My baby shower was yesterday and I had a wonderful time. There are so many people who made it a great day from Candy planning it with Katki, Rachel taking photos, Katie putting many of our items in her van and making a special trip to get them to us and the guests who attended and people who have gifts though unable to attend. I’ll do a full recap at another time when I have photos back from Rachel, so this will be a preview of detail shots I took with my phone. Using baby’s technical due date of October 30th, I have 8 weeks to go as shown in this sign and sonogram pics, the middentwo of which we used copies of in our maternity shoot with Rachel last month.

My First Nonstress Test (NST)
On Friday I went in for my first Nonstress Test (NST). The test name reflects the fact that under ideal situations the baby is not our under any stresses and monitored as he or she is moving. In some cases is the baby remains sleeping a stimulus such as the mom drinking cold water or a buzzer being rung is used to wake the baby.
WaterWipes – Product Review
One baby product I know I will go through a lot of is baby wipes. I hadn’t realized there were so many options until recently from scented to non and dry to wet, etc. one that intrigued me right away was Water Wipes of which I had received samples. When I received a full pack of them in my Bluum box, I decided it was time to try out a sample for a blog product review.
