Our apartment complex had their own photo op. Unlike the Christmas party with Santa that spanned several hours, this was a low key hour long session. Still, I was grateful it was on a weekend so we’d all have a chance to attend. This time William was in a much better mood when we put him into his stroller.

I’d wanted to take William to see the Easter Bunny weeks ago, however, at the time all the cute outfits that Candy and I had looked at were out of stock in his size. Luckily, we found one that we both liked that could be received in time for photos.
Since William made the transition from bassinet to portable crib, it seemed fitting to a long overdue review of his bassinet. I actually researched many bassinets before we got one. There were a few I liked but I kept coming back to this one. It was a demonstration at Buy Buy Baby that convinced us to get the Graco Dream Suite Bassinet.

I’ve blogged a few times about how often people tell Matt and I that William will grow up before we know it. We definitely see this for ourselves when clothes that fit him one day first get too tight then eventually don’t fit him at all, or when we look at photos from his birth to now and see how big he’s gotten. His latest growth spurt, in terms of height and weight, along with how he can push himself up on his hands mean it was time to make the transition from the bassinet to his Lotus Travel Crib.
When I was growing up I had somewhat of a desire to be in band. I never played an instrument, though I did sing in choir in junior high and was a flag twirler for part of high school. I would like to inspire William to potentially learn to play an instrument or two. Part of this also stems from his Godbrother, Tyler, playing the guitar and drums. So when I told Maribel they had sent him something musically related that he’d get for Easter, I was intrigued when she told me she had him started in that direction as well.
For a few weeks now I’ve wondered what kind of Easter basket to have for William. Part of me, the part that bought custom shirts for our honeymoon, and special ornaments for our first year together as Mr. and Mrs. and then custom My First Christmas ornaments for William, had debated getting a similar Easter basket. I saw this on Amazon and was thisclose to pushing the button to buy it.
Sometimes the week by week baby predictors are just spot on. This weeks is, though in large part, that’s because William is such a happy baby overall. I have more photos of him smiling than not, and everyone always comments what a happy baby he is.
Some baby milestones are developmental ones, others are little firsts within their environment along the way. William has until today always had the bath’s that Candy gave him in a sink with his bath sponge there to hold him in place. Today for the first time ever she decried that he was too big for her sink, and so it was time to use the sponge and put him the regular bathtub.
This year for the first time since Matt and I had come up to the Pleasanton for the St. Patrick’s Day Beer Crawl, my birthday, which is on St. Patrick’s Day and the event were both on a Saturday. We were so excited to get to spend the weekend together for this with some friends and family. Candy even bought William a special outfit to mark the occasion.
One of the coolest parts of my pregnancy was our multiple trips to see what toys and things we’d need for our child. It was fun to try and anticipate what we would need or want along with what things were cool but we, or our child, wouldn’t truly use. Some I did extensive research on, some were recommended by store representatives, and occasionally, I’d have a gut feeling that I just needed something in particular. One such project I was sure we needed was the Cloud B On The Go Sleep Sheep Sound Soother.
