February 5, 2017, Matt and I threw our second annual Super Bowl party. It was a great little get together foe which I wore my Super Bowl 50th gear in honor of the previous year when it had been held in Santa Clara, CA, a city near us.

Early Morning Workouts with New Options
As I mentioned in my post yesterday about my 24 week OB checkup Dr. G was very happy to hear about the exercising I was doing and mentioned that I was doing more than most of his pregnant patients. This made my happy as staying fit is one of my top priorities with this pregnancy. The last time I took on a major program to get into shape was for my wedding, now 14 months ago. As I did then, I now go to the gym at our apartment complex when it is very quiet.

Dancing and Baseball – Throw Back Thursday
When choosing one or more photos for Throw Back Thursday, often I’ll try to find one that happened on that day or close to it years ago. For this week I found one that happened exactly on this day four years ago, July 13, 2013. That night was a special one for many reasons including the fact that Matt and I had a night out with our mutual friend Bree. As we did from time to time then, and do much more frequently now, we took a selfie, this one outside in the Santana Row parking structure.

Work Pause Thrive – Book Review
A few weeks ago the company I’m contracting at brought in Lisen Stromberg to talk about and answer questions about her book, “Walk Pause Thrive – How To Pause For Parenthood Without Killing Your Career”. It’s always great to have an author his or her work to get a better understanding of it, so that and the subject matter gave me extra motivation to read and review this book.
Poolside Yoga at Our Apartment Complex
Although I’ve enjoyed yoga at work, it does require me to eat lunch an hour later than it arrives. So having done yoga hungry, despite having breakfast and snacks and having seen a flyer for weekly outside yoga at our apartment complex, I was intrigued enough to give it a try this week.

24 Weeks Milestone – Viability
Preganancy is full of lots of wonderful milestones. I reached one I’ve been waiting eagerly for on Friday that of 24 weeks. This day is often referred to as one of viability in that if the baby were to be born at that point there is a high chance of survival, depending on sources cited it’s 50-70%. In honor of baby’s viability today’s post features bump pictures of recent weeks.
My First StairMaster Pregnancy Workout
Yesterday I had my 23 week check up with my OB, Dr. G. The appointment went well and I’ll be blogging about it in detail tomorrow. One of the main questions I asked him was about trying something else exercise wise as I was finding just walking, which I’ve been doing for the bulk of my workouts too boring. This is not new for me, I love mixing up workouts which I was I’ve done so many hybrid workout programs and should try Crossfit after enough time has gone by for me to heal from my delivery. I was hoping to get cleared to jog even a little, however, Dr. G said it was too high impact for my pregnancy. Instead he suggested a piece of equipment I hadn’t even considered at this time, The StairMaster.
The Summer Effects on My Pregnancy
Last weekend was one of the hottest ones in recent memory for me. Despite the use of sunscreen and being under a canopy, Matt, Candy and I all had some sunburn last Saturday, of which I had the worst perhaps as I’m pregnant. The next day was even hotter at 102-104 degrees (depending on what hour was recorded) and which both broke temperature records for that day and left many without electricity.
The Halfway Point Milestone and Beyond
One way my pregnancy has been measured is in time, both the amount I’ve been pregnant and the time left until baby’s estimated due date. Though many people think of pregnancy as nine months, it’s really 40 weeks as the baby is considered two weeks along at Estimated Conception Date. With this in mind, our baby reached the half way point last week, so it’s a good time to show a few more bump photos.
Walmart Baby Box – Extra Products Shipment Overview and NSPA Body Butter Review
As detailed last Friday, I received the Walmart Prenatal Box of which I did an overview. As promised by their rep, I received three more items that they said would be more related to the prenatal time. The items arrived this week shipped in a white bubble wrap envelop and this picture shows what I was sent Npsa Body Butter, Lansinoh Nursing Bads and Bio Oil.
